Google API Services Disclosure
TidyPacket's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we access from your Gmail:
- Email metadata (sender, subject, date, size)
- Email content (for AI analysis only - not stored)
- Email labels and categories
How we use this data:
- To analyze emails and identify spam, newsletters, and promotions
- To delete or trash emails you approve for cleanup
- To provide cleanup statistics and history
What we DO NOT do:
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not store the full content of your emails
- We do not share your data except as required for service operation
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address (from Google OAuth)
- Name (from Google OAuth)
- Profile picture (from Google OAuth)
Gmail Data (via OAuth)
- Temporarily accessed: Email content is sent to our AI provider for analysis but is not stored on our servers
- Stored: Email metadata (sender, subject, date) for cleanup history and statistics
- Stored: AI decisions (keep/delete recommendations with confidence scores)
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. We only store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage Data
- Number of emails processed
- Cleanup job history
- Feature usage statistics
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate TidyPacket:
- Google Cloud / Gmail API: To access and manage your emails with your permission
- Google AI (Gemini): To analyze email content and determine cleanup recommendations. Email content is processed but not stored by us.
- Stripe: For secure payment processing
- Cloudflare: For content delivery and security
Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Email metadata: Retained for cleanup history; deleted when you delete your account
- Email content: Never stored - only processed temporarily by AI
- Payment history: Retained as required by law and Stripe's policies
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View your data in the Settings page
- Delete: Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data
- Revoke access: Disconnect Gmail access from Settings or from your Google Account permissions
- Export: Request a copy of your data by contacting us
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest
- We never see or store your Google password
- Regular security reviews and updates
Children's Privacy
TidyPacket is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
